Terms & Conditions

  • All guided tours are done as descibed in the tour description and for the price shown in the valid programe or price list.
  • All prices are in Canadian Dollar plus GST.
  • Services included in guided tours: **
    • Lead by a guide
    • All transportation in the Yukon Territory
    • All necessary camping equipment
    • All necessary canoe equipment
    • All meals during the tour
    • Accommodation according to tour and service description
    • Emergency equipment including SAT communication
  • Services not included: **
    • Air fare to/from Whitehorse
    • All hotel meals and during the transportations
    • Personal expenses and tips
    • Entrance and License fees
    • Alcoholic Drinks
    • Sleeping bag, personal clothing and consumer goods

  • Yukon Wide Adventures can not be held liable for any injury, damage or loss of life or property of clients.
  • Customers are responsible for damage to rented equipment with Yukon Wide Adventures as well as equipment used on guided tours if it exceeds normal wear and tear, up to the replacement value. Damage to equipment, which is intentionally or through gross negligence and which is destroyed beyond the regular wear, as well as loss of equipment, is charged to the client.
  • By renting any equipment from Yukon Wide Adventures we require a credit card deposit as a security.
  • Yukon Wide Adventures has the right to change the tour in short term without previos notice.
  • Unlawful or unethical behaviour as well as disturbing the peace of other travelers may lead to the immediate and non-refundable termination of the contract by Yukon Wide Adventures. The customer will cover any extra costs.
  • All services have to be pre booked. With booking or after receiving a booking confirmation, a down payment of 25 % of the total amount is due. The down payment is not refundable. The remaining amount is payable 30 days prior to departure.
  • Should a customer cancel a booked service with Yukon Wide Adventures less than 45 days before the start date of the booked service 25%, less than 30 days 80 % and less than 14 days 100 % of the total amount is retained.
  • No refund is provided should a customer not show up without a cancellation.
  • The total amount shown in the booking contract has to be paid in full 21 days prior to service start date. Otherwise Yukon Wide Adventures considers this as a cancellation. There are no claims for refunds against Yukon Wide Adventures.
  • Claims for refunds are limited to the amount paid for the services.
  • Yukon Wide Adventures reserves the right to cancel a tour 60 days prior to tour start date in case of minimum participants has not been reached in accordance to the tour and service description. The customer is entitled to a full refund of the tour fees.
  • We advise to have travel, theft and luggage insurance. Also we recommend a rescue and transportation insurance.
  • Bookings can be arranged by travel agents or directly with Yukon Wide Adventures.
  • Court of jurisdiction is Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada

General Waiver

All guided tours by Yukon Wide Adventures are considered wilderness tours. Certain risks are inherited to this kind of travel. Those risks include but are not limited to: Contact with wild animals, weather and other forces of nature, water currents, limited visibility and un-maintained trails, windfall and forest fires, distance from emergency services and limited communications.

Our qualified guides are familiar with the nature, wildlife and know how to handle difficult situations. Their education is mostly higher than required by law.

Yukon Wide Adventures is concerned about the well-being and safety of our customers but can not eliminate the possibility of accidents. Yukon Wide Adventures is in no way liable for the well-being, health or life of customers or their personal belongings.

Yukon Wide Adventures can not guarantee to do the tour as described. Due to reasons of safety Yukon Wide Adventures tours may be changed without notice. Yukon Wide Adventures will provide equal or higher value components should any part of a tour need to be changed. A refund will only be paid if Yukon Wide Adventures cancels a tour completely without offering an equal or better substitute. Any refunds are limited to the amount of the respective tour price.

Particulary in the Kluane National ParK changes in the tour can be necessary, when trails are closed by Park Canada or when the usage of areas is discouraged.

Waiver

  • All participants are aware of the wilderness character of this tour. The feature of wilderness tours may have certain risks. Those risks include but are not limited to: Contact with wild animals, weather and other forces of nature, water currents, un-maintained trails, distance from emergency services and limited communications, forest fires and much more.
  • Yukon Wide Adventures will do everything possible within reason and will make all necessary preparations to safely deliver the tour, according to the booked description.
  • The booked tour is considered “active tour”! Therefore we expect an active involvement of the guest on the daily routine. This includes loading and unloading canoes (on canoe trips), collection and cutting fire wood for the campfire, setup and take down tents, as well as kitchen work, like washing and drying the dishes and helping with food preparation.
  • Yukon Wide Adventures offers wilderness tours with campfire romantic. This brings with it that your clothing may smell like smoke. Due to the reason that we cook over the fire it may be that the boiled drinking water might taste smoky.
  • The responsibility of Yukon Wide Adventures is limited to the services booked with Yukon Wide Adventures.
  • All other activities are the responsibility of the customer.
  • No refund is provided should a customer decide to terminate services before the end of those booked with Yukon Wide Adventures. The customer will cover any extra costs.
  • Claims for refund for cancellation in acts of god are limited to the amount paid for services.
  • By renting any equipment from Yukon Wide Adventures we require a credit card deposit as a security (does not apply to guided tours).
  • Customers are responsible for damage to rented equipment with Yukon Wide Adventures as well as equipment used on guided tours if it exceeds normal wear and tear, up to the replacement value. Damage to equipment, which is intentionally or through gross negligence and which is destroyed beyond the regular wear, as well as loss of equipment, is charged to the client.
  • Yukon Wide Adventures can not be held liable for any injury, damage or loss of life or property of clients.
  • On guided tours special medical needs and conditions, such as allergies, heart or circulatory problems, pregnancy, diabetes and others, have to be disclosed to Yukon Wide Adventures.
  • All participants are aware of the wilderness character of this tour and are in a physical condition to participate in it.
  • Unlawful or unethical behaviour as well as disturbing the peace of other travellers may lead to the immediate and non-refundable termination of the contract by Yukon Wide Adventures. The customer will cover any extra costs.
  • Our company terms and conditions are valid with any booking.
  • All participants recognize above statement as a valid part of their contract with Yukon Wide Adventures.
