Are you ready to ride the river?

Day 1

The adventure begins with a shuttle from Whitehorse to Mendenhall Landing, where your guide provides a safety briefing and equipment check before launching onto the Takhini River. As you paddle downstream, the Yukon wilderness unfolds around you—towering spruce forests, rolling hills, and wildlife along the shore. Along the way, you’ll stop for a riverside lunch and take in the scenery before continuing deeper into the backcountry. The first wilderness campsite awaits at the river’s edge, where a campfire dinner and stargazing set the tone for a night in the wild.

Day 2

After breakfast at camp, the journey continues downriver, passing through serene valleys and remote backcountry landscapes. The river’s gentle current allows for relaxed paddling, with opportunities to spot bald eagles, beavers, and maybe even a bear. A stop for lunch along the shore provides time to stretch and explore before pushing onward. By evening, the second campsite is set up along the riverbank. Another night of campfire warmth, good company, and a sky full of stars rounds out the day.

Day 3

The last leg of the journey takes you through the final stretches of the Takhini River’s winding channels. There’s time for one last break along the shore before reaching the take-out point, where the shuttle awaits for the return to Whitehorse.
