Route: Skagway / Dyea to Lake Bennett – 53 km | 8 Days
Our journey begins with a ride on the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railway, crossing the scenic White Pass to Skagway. From there, a short shuttle takes us to Dyea, the starting point of our five-day trek on the legendary Chilkoot Trail.
We carry only the essentials for the hike, while the rest of our luggage remains securely stored at our hotel in Whitehorse.
The Chilkoot Trail was once traveled by over 100,000 men and women, from hopeful gold seekers to daring outlaws, all determined to reach the Klondike in the late 1890s. The trail’s most challenging point, Chilkoot Pass, rises 1,150 meters above sea level, offering us a glimpse into the hardships faced by these early adventurers.
After five days of hiking through breathtaking landscapes, we reach Lake Bennett, the final destination of the trail. From here, we take a scenic floatplane flight back to Whitehorse, enjoying an unforgettable bird’s-eye view of the Yukon wilderness.
A minimum of four participants is required for the guided tour. If the requirement is not met, we will offer an alternative date.
For a private VIP tour for two, please contact us for a custom quote.
