Experience the Aurora Borealis with your own eyes on our adventure Aurora hunt. We’ll find for you the best viewing location to take the perfect photo of the Northern Lights.
Our adventure package is a well tuned mix of different typical Yukon winter activities over the day and three nights of Aurora Borealis Hunting as the highlight of the tour.
This Aurora Adventure package will give you the best that the Yukon has to offer, we offer you and thrilling day of dog sledding with our sister company Elevation Sled Dog Adventures, with Elevation your guide will teach you to be a real Yukon Dog Musher. Along with your day of dog sledding you will have the option to try snowshoeing and ice-fishing. We will also take you to visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve followed by a relaxing soak in the Eclipse Hot Springs!
In addition to our winter adventure package, there is also time for sight seeing, relaxing or to explore the snow covered landscape by yourself.
Day 1:
Your guide will greet you at the Whitehorse Airport and transfer you to the Sternwheeler Hotel. After the check-in we will meet for a tour briefing and give you an overview of the following days.
In the evening we will pick you up at the hotel to experience the first night of our exciting Aurora hunt.
Day 2:
On your first Adventure Day, we will take you to meet one of the Yukon’s top Husky teams. Elevation Sled Dogs is home to champion huskies and top Yukon Quest Mushers. Your expert guides will teach you how to Mush your team by learning commands and how to steer the sled. During this day you will have the option to try snowshoeing and ice fishing, and you never know, you might catch a real Grayling fish!
In the evening we will pick you up at the hotel for your second night of our exciting Aurora hunt.
Day 3:
Your next Adventure Day will be more relaxing after your busy day of dog sledding. Your guide will first take you to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. Here you will see actual Yukon Wildlife such as Moose, Muskox, Bison, Caribou and many more! This is an excellent opportunity to capture amazing pictures of real Yukon Wildlife!
And next you will have the experience of a relaxing soak in the Eclipse Hot Springs. To breath in the winter Yukon air while relaxing in an authentic Yukon Hot Spring will be a memory you wont soon forget!
In the evening we will pick you up at the hotel for your last night of our Aurora Borealis hunt.
Day 4:
Transfer to Whitehorse Airport and departure or perhaps you want to extend your Yukon experience and take part in another tour offered by us.
