Frequently Asked Questions about our Winter Tours

What are meals like on guided tours?

Whether you are on one of our Yukon Aurora Borealis tours or any of our other tours (longer than a half-day), we aim for balance for meals during our guided tours. Meals may be meat or fish, complemented by rice, potatoes, or noodles. While we don’t provide alcohol, we do offer drinks such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and other beverages.

What kind of experience do I need to go on a tour?

We offer tours for all levels of experience and fitness level, from beginners to intermediate, to advanced. This is marked on each of our tours. It’s a good idea to read the description and itinerary of each tour to get an idea of what you can expect, and contact us if you have questions about any of the tours.  [1]

Are your tours safe?

Safety is a top priority on trips! Our experienced and certified guides are knowledgeable in winter safety, wilderness behaviour, wildlife safety, safe food storage and preparation, and fire safety. They are also equipped with emergency satellite devices in case of emergency. You can read about safe wilderness behaviour and camping etiquette on our Wilderness Behavior [4] page.
